How to Root, Xrecovery & Install ROM for Xperia X8 (COMPLETE DETAILS)

WARNING! - I want to remind, if you do not believe 100% on this step , I want advised to you do not do this if you are not sure. I just want to share knowledge that I know. If there is damage to your mobile phone, I will not be responsible. But I believe if you follow the right steps, you will succeed ..

WinRAR software - it is necessary to allow you to extract files

Reminded! first once you have to make root and xrecovery before rom for avoid any risk..

>> HOW TO ROOT <<

 1. Go to Settings > About Phone. Make sure that latest build number: 2.1.1.A.0.6 latest baseband: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015 * make sure there are 015 at the end..

2. If not you have to install PC COMPANION.. Click to download. After install you connect phone to pc and press update.

3. Download SuperOneClick. Then extract all files SuperOneClick to deskstop.

4. In the phone, go to - Settings> Application> tick enable unknown sources - Settings> Application> development> tick enable usb debugging

5. Connect phone to pc and select PHONE CHARGE

6. You just go to the desktop and click open SuperOneClick.exe root. - Wait until finish .. click yes if any question out during the current root .. If you suffer from not responding, please install PC COMPANION.

>> HOW TO XRECOVERY <<

 1. Make sure your phone has been the root as above..

2. Download xrecovery and root explorer

3. First you install root explorer in your phone. Extract file xrecovery (xrecovery.tar, busybox, chargemon). Copy the three file into the Sd Card. Then open root explorer, move (xrecovery.tar, busybox, chargemon) from Sd Card to system / bin and paste. Make sure the chosen mount R / W to enable you paste.

4. Then off  the phone and on again or restart until it shows 'Sony Ericsson' and then you press the BACK button repeatedly until it shows the menu xrecovery just like the image below..

 5. Use volume buttons to move up / down .. back button as usual for the Back and the center button to Select..

6. Okay, first you Select the backup and restore> backup. Make sure the sd card you about 500MB free space. ATTENTION! backup is important when you want to restore the original back .. already Settled. Let make the next step ...

 >> HOW TO INSTALL ROM <<

 1. First you have to download one of your favorite ROM: Floyo 1.0 or MiniCM7-2.2.1 (latest ROM)

- this two ROM is better, okey and no problem.

 2. After download extract file in sdcard> xrecovery> backup. (you can save any where, better store in this folder more organized) --- --- MAKE SURE extract the files in this folder only..As an example file for the rom you have to save MiniCM7-2.2.1 (META.INF and system) in one folder and put the name of MiniCM7 (or whatever name). If you do not extract it can also, you copy and paste the rar file to through sdcard> xrecovery> backup. or any where in the SD Card.


  3.Then you restart your phone and enter the menu mode xrecovery.

4. In the menu you select xrecovery backup and restore> restore> (select the file that you save in a folder above). If the file in a rar or zip, you have to go to install Custom.zip and select the file that you save in the Sd Card. Then wait until complete restore and reboot .....

wait until the restore process finished.

5. Done!

p / s - make sure to keep the original backup on sdcard or PC.. If the phone is damaged or there is a problem you can restore it back or repair on the SE Update Services..
